It looks like the rain might hold off for 3 whole days (!) for the bank holiday weekend. So if you are making the most of the long weekend & heading into town for coffee, food, drinks or anything in between here’s a few haunts that are Lux approved.
Prada Caffe @ Harrods

Prada opens Prada Caffe at Harrods bringing Prada’s iconic brand to every detail.
Expect the brand's iconic green to adorn the walls, ceilings and velvet armchairs. The floors reproduce the black-and-white chequered floor of the historic Prada boutique on Corso Vittorio Emanuele Il in Milan, while the Prada emblazoned tableware and patisserie evoke chic from every angle.
The menu will offer items from breakfast through to lunch and evening cocktails, taking a subtle Italian slant, featuring sandwiches and risotto alongside negroni-based aperitifs.
Tip: pastries play a central role, displayed both on the spectacular central counter and the wall behind, so be sure to stop by to select a luxurious Prada chocolate or cake.
Sea Bird @ The Hoxton

The stunning Seabird is a rooftop restaurant in the heart of Southwark, located on the fourteenth floor of The Hoxton's new Southwark hotel. Mediterranean-inspired plates and city views.
Created in partnership with award-winning Joshua Boissy & Krystof Zizka of New York's Maison Premiere; the aesthetics are stylish, the views are beautiful & the seafood is fresh, accompanied by a raw bar & natural wines.
Tip: oyster lovers – the restaurant boasts London's longest oyster list. A definite must try for a date night spot or special occasion.
Mr Foggs House of Botanicals – Fitzrovia

The story goes, Phileas J. Fogg, who travelled the world in 80 days. After his travels, trusted companions, fellow explorers and loyal patrons were welcomed into the residence to cast their eyes upon his legendary collection. Very soon, his residence became a place famed for its exquisite libations and exciting entertainment. His Residence was no longer just his home, but a prestigious Mayfair watering hole. Expect a quirky cocktail bar designed for the upbeat, playful & adventurous; serving cocktails & light bites inspired by exotic botanicals & plant life.
Tip: popular spot for after work drinks.
Louie – Covent Garden

The glitzy Louie brings Chiltern Firehouse vibes to Covent Garden - For a Soulful electric atmosphere.
Serving a French menu, Louie interior is the epitome of New Orleans meets London, with a beautiful two-storey restaurant, three beautiful bars, a shimmering oyster counter, glowing fireplaces and a dreamy rooftop.
Come for the great menu or the live music. Expect casual bistro style dining on the ground floor, gorgeous, sexier tables with low lighting on the first and the velvet-adorned lounge bar and rooftop at the top.
Tip: for clients we recommend the first floor, for date night the second, and whatever the occasion, always make sure you head to the top floor for a drink after dinner.
Madera @ Treehouse

The hotel beside BBC Broadcasting House reopens after being transformed by the American travel group SH Hotels, whom operate the 1 Hotels in Miami & New York and are launching their new Treehouse hotel range here in London.
The little sister to the LA hotspot Toca Madera, Madera launches as the main restaurant, offering Mexican food & cocktails from day to night. The restaurant and bar is spacious, sleek & has beautiful views over London, complete with banquettes, an open kitchen, a large central bar & floor to ceiling glass windows.
Tip: check out the rooftop bar "The Nest" complete with a wraparound terrace decked with loungers (for summer) and the ground floor coffee bar "Backyard" which will serve sandwiches & snacks along with Workshop coffee by day & wine by night. The restaurant isn't dog friendly but the rest of the hotel is.
